Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is as season a time for every purpose under heaven.
Change is something that can make us feel uneasy and uncomfortable even if the change is good. I find that most people don’t like change. Never the less, change will take place. Solomon, the author of Ecclesiastes refers to these changes as seasons in our lives.
As we see our lives and the lives of our children change, we can rejoice knowing that Jesus is with us.
Jeremiah 29:11 for I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord thoughts of peace not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
My beautiful daughter Melinda is going to graduate from college soon. I am proud of her accomplishments and excited to see what the Lord holds for the future. She is entering into a new season in her life, and I am full of emotions.
I have watched her grow into the young woman she is today. I was overjoyed when I felt her move in my womb. I remember when she was born and the way it felt to touch the soft fuzzy hair on her head. I also smile when I think about taking her to her first day of Kindergarten and when she lost her first tooth and her smile looked like a jack-o-lantern. I was always there to hold her through the disappointments and the hurts rejoice in her many achievements. I am so blessed that God has given such a precious gift, and entrusted Bill and I to train her up for Him. Every event has been orchestrated by our heavenly Father. His loving hand has been upon her life watching over her and keeping her.
I know she will continue to grow and change as a person as she goes through her own personal seasons. Through these seasons I know she will hold her head high because she is a child of God.
