Ladies if you don’t have much of a prayer life, after reading this book you will. This book is a must-read for every married Christian woman. It doesn’t matter how long you have been married. It also doesn’t matter whether you feel your marriage is great, if you are having problems or somewhere in between. This isn’t just another self-help book.  You will benefit from reading this book and putting the practical principles to work in your own prayer life.  Stormie has amazing insight that only God could have given her concerning men and what is really important to them. Also, God has given her wisdom in putting together topics and lists to help in praying for our husbands everyday for a month.  At the end of each chapter she lists scripture to pray over our husbands in each specific topic. She refers to them as her tool box.

Stormie is transparent in sharing about the difficulties she has faced in her marriage. It is encouraging to read how God has answered so many of her prayers in His timing and according to His will. God used Stormie’s prayers to show her where she needed to heal and to forgive her husband. When we start to pray for someone God will first deal with our hearts. As women we can see our husbands glaring faults but be short sided in seeing our own. She says that prayer is a gentle tool.

I was also encouraged when she stated that she would never allow anything to destroy her marriage. She also says to her readers to never let the enemy, (Satan or the world) win in your marriage.  We shouldn’t listen to thoughts of discouragement which can come from so many different sources. Please take the time to read this book. So many things in our world today are against marriage. Don’t listen to the lies. Prayer is a powerful tool to all of us if we will just make our marriages a priority. Read and pray, be encouraged!
