God’s Provision

I wanted to share a story that happened recently. This is just something small, yet it demonstrated to me how much God cares about the little details in our lives. Nothing is so small that we should think He wouldn’t take notice. He has the very hairs on our heads numbered. Sometimes we forget that He is watching us all the time.

Money has been tight lately and I have been trying to stay on a budget. It seems like I always run out of something a few days before payday. This time I ran out of my makeup. I know thats not such a big deal maybe to you, yet to me it is since I wear it everyday. Hey,” if the house needs painting then paint it,” is what my husband always says regarding a woman’s cosmetics. Believe me I need the makeup at my age.

I was in my room and I said out loud, I am completely out of my makeup now what am I going to do? I never prayed about this, I just thought it was silly and vain to pray about something like makeup. That afternoon I received a card in the mail and it said “Free five day supply of this certain brand of makeup just bring your card in”. To my amazement it just happened to be the makeup I use all the time. As I stared dumbfounded at the card, I carefully read it because usually this company requires you to buy something in order to get anything free. This time it was completely free no other purchase were required! You might be saying to yourself well Cindy that was just a coincidence. Well I know otherwise! God cares about everything in our lives. So don’t sweat the small things or anything for that matter God is in control and He loves all of us supremely. Matthew 10: 29-31 says, “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”

I bet you have a story to share too? Please share your stories with me. I love to hear about what God is doing in your life as well.
